In some of these remote areas there are some people who have large shrubbery or trees close to their home. When fire pushes into those trees it makes it hard to defend those homes.

It's still warm and the winds are still blowing and we still have fires.

It looks like we're at about 40 percent containment. We're looking at having it 100 percent contained by Monday, 6 p.m.

We have lost two single family dwellings, or two homes, one detached garage and three out buildings, and we have had six injuries to firefighters. Those range from serious to minor.
